It is true we have changed our routine, and we are doing exciting things every day. We are relaxing, we have more time on our hands. We notice things, and we appreciate the leisure and the novelty of being in Portugal.

And so, might we not take a moment to be grateful and thankful for our blessings. Especially the opportunity to worship in a different church in a slightly different way, and with new people! Prepare to be surprised!

In Carvoeiro, there will be a Catholic Mass in English next Sunday, 21 June, at 4 pm, at the Chapel of Our Lady of the Incarnation - “Ermida da Nossa Senhora da Encarnação” on the cliffs above Carvoeiro.

The whole Mass will be in English, including the readings and singing. We welcome residents and visitors of many nationalities. Padre Nuno Coelho wishes to include and integrate all Catholics of whatever language or nationality in his flock.

There will be a retiring collection for the LAGOA CARITAS FOOD BANK, which helps over 100 families in need at this time.

Please note that the usual weekend Mass in Carvoeiro is at 5.30pm on Saturday (Portuguese with some English).
