The government has committed more than 63 billion dollars to defence, boosting military readiness, infrastructure and equipment, while positioning the country to meet rising global security demands and alliance expectations.

The milestone has come amid increasing pressure on NATO members to raise defence budgets, with a new alliance target of 3.5 percent plus additional security spending by 2035, reflecting growing geopolitical tensions and calls for stronger collective defence commitments.
