In a statement, the GNR said that during a patrol the two men were detected using suspiciously an ATM already referenced as a place to withdraw money resulting from MBWay scams.

"During the approach it was possible to confirm that they had just committed a scam in the amount of 2,500 Euros through MBWay," says the GNR.

Following the arrest, a vehicle, 800 Euros in cash, two mobile phones and three SIM card holders were seized.

The two suspects were detained and the facts were referred to the Judicial Court of Portalegre.
