Held at the Museu do Oriente, the event focused on how security technology is evolving beyond traditional monitoring, with companies increasingly using cameras, radar and sensors to improve day-to-day operations, manage infrastructure and analyse real-time information more efficiently.

The programme brought together technology partners, integrators and industry specialists to discuss how data collected at the edge can be transformed into actionable intelligence across sectors, including retail, transport, logistics and public infrastructure.

Throughout the event, speakers discussed how technologies such as AI and data analytics are changing the way organisations approach security and operations, allowing them to respond more quickly and make better-informed decisions based on real-time information.

Axis Communications presented its approach based on three stages — collect, understand and act — demonstrating how data gathered through video, audio and radar technologies can be analysed in real time through analytics platforms, dashboards and integrations with wider business systems.

The programme also included presentations from Bruno Soares and Ismael Pacheco, who shared examples of how technologies such as computer vision and deep learning are already being used to improve efficiency and operations in areas including airports and critical infrastructure.

One of the highlights of the programme was a roundtable discussion with organisations including UBBO, Prosegur, ISBIN, the Município de Abrantes and INOV, which shared how data is already influencing day-to-day operations across areas ranging from retail to urban security and logistics.

Live demonstrations of the latest Axis solutions in radar, access control, analytics and audio systems were also presented during the event.
