This initiative focuses on students of the Integrated Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, aiming to promote scientific excellence and innovation in an area considered vital for the future of medicine and biomedical research.

The project reinforces the biopharmaceutical company's commitment to national talent and consolidates FFUL's role as a benchmark institution in teaching and valuing the academic merit of its students.

The prize consists of a five-day internship at AstraZeneca Portugal's facilities, allowing winners direct immersion in the company's various aspects, from research and development to the commercialisation of biological medicines. The selection of the winning work will be the responsibility of an independent jury, composed of two faculty members and a representative from AstraZeneca, ensuring the rigour and transparency of the process.

By linking academia to the business sector, this partnership aims to encourage the development of practical skills in biotechnology, one of the areas with the greatest impact on health and the advancement of pharmaceutical science in Portugal.
