According to the municipality, the Praça da República (Republic Square) will be decorated, with entertainment, children's activities, dance, performances and DJs, an exhibition and workshop on "Lovers' Handkerchiefs," "Toasting to Love with Rosé Wine and Viana Cake," among other initiatives.

The program also includes vouchers, a 10% discount at participating hotels, a special Valentine's Day menu at participating restaurants, and special offers on experiences for two from tourist entertainment agents.

The voucher for two people also includes free entry to the Costume Museum and the Museum of Decorative Arts, a round-trip ride on the Santa Luzia Elevator, and free access to the Gil Eannes Ship.
