The alternative connection between the two banks of the river will be the 25 de Abril Bridge, according to Lusoponte.
According to the concessionaire of the road crossing over the Tagus River – which connects the districts of Lisbon and Setúbal – the complete interruption of traffic is related to an intervention that "aims to comply with the previously established Structural Monitoring Program and will occur for the tenth time since its opening in 1998.
As an alternative, Lusoponte suggests, in a statement, using the 25 de Abril Bridge, complying with the restrictions imposed on this crossing between Lisbon and Almada, specifically for the transport of hazardous materials (only permitted between 2:00am and 5:00am).
Lusoponte thanks "your understanding for any inconvenience this intervention may cause."
