A hike in road tax in the Netherlands this year will bring in around €422 million more than in 2023, taking the total paid by motorists to over €6.8 billion.

Road Tax (officially called motor vehicle tax) is made up of a government part and a provincial part. All provinces are upping their rates, except for Groningen and Drenthe.
