Life after work in the Algarve looks a little different. Especially for expats who moved from colder countries, where the days are shorter, darker, and there is definitely no beach to go to after work.

I’m not going to lie; I also don’t have the chance to go to a beach bar every day after work. But when it happens, it feels pretty special. After a few years living abroad, I have already got used to this lifestyle, but moments like this still make me stop and think how grateful I am to live here.

This time we visited Rocha da Palha in Armação de Pêra — a classic seaside spot with a long tradition, known for Portuguese cuisine and tables right by the beach.
