An analysis of tourist establishments for sale in Portugal in the last three months ending in October shows that five districts have the highest supply. Faro is in first place, accounting for 24 hotels for sale advertised on idealista.
Right after that comes Lisbon with 20 tourist properties available for sale, followed by Porto (19), Évora (9) and Beja (8). The major urban centers of the capital and Porto, alongside the Algarve and Alentejo, are the areas of the country with the widest range of tourist properties for national and international investors.
Porto
In the Porto district, the hotel supply is concentrated mainly in the municipality of Porto (13 properties). The other six tourist buildings for sale are distributed among Vila do Conde (2), Amarante, Felgueiras, Maia and Vila do Conde, the data shows.
Lisbon
The same happens in the capital district. The municipality of Lisbon has the largest number of hotels for sale (10), with the remaining properties advertised on idealista distributed across Mafra (4), Cascais (3), Lourinhã (2), and Torres Vedras (1).
Algarve
In the Algarve, tourist properties on the market are spread across several municipalities: Faro (6), Lagos (6), Loulé (3), Tavira (2), Lagoa (2), Albufeira (1), Alcoutim (1), and Vila do Bispo (1).
Alentejo
There is also a greater geographical distribution of hotels for sale in the Alentejo districts. In fact, the district capitals, Évora (1) and Beja (2), are not the municipalities with the largest number of properties, being surpassed by Estremoz (2) and Viana do Alentejo (2) in the first case and by Serpa (3) in the second.
