After participating in the ILTM North America and IMEX America trade shows in the Bahamas and Las Vegas earlier this month, the Algarve is participating in the "Travel Trade Marketplace Canada" roadshow, organised by Turismo de Portugal, which will take place in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver until October 23rd.
Aimed at tour operators, travel agents, and other industry professionals, the event aims to strengthen commercial relations with the Canadian market and consolidate Portugal's image as a competitive and diverse tourist destination.
Algarve Tourism's presence in this initiative will allow for targeted promotion of the region's diverse offerings, with a special focus on sun & sea products, but also on gastronomy, nature, and local experiences. This will help increase the destination's reputation and foster new business opportunities with Canadian operators and agents.
From October 26th to 29th, the Algarve will also be present at TFest, an international event dedicated to luxury tourism, taking place in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. It will bring together buyers from around the world, approximately 60% of whom will be from the Americas.
For this edition, Turismo do Algarve has already scheduled approximately 60 individual meetings with representatives of carefully selected operators and travel designers in the US and Canada markets. This is a strategic opportunity to showcase the region's luxury offerings and reinforce the Algarve's position as a leading destination in this segment.
"This strong commitment to the Algarve's presence in the Americas reflects our ambition to consolidate commercial relationships and strengthen the destination's presence among audiences with high purchasing power and an interest in genuine and unique experiences," says André Gomes, president of Turismo do Algarve.
