The tour will be led by archaeologist Sandra Cavaco, from the Tavira Municipal Museum.

Classified as a National Monument since 1939, the Tavira Castle Walls have undergone several conservation and/or renovation works, and have also undergone some demolition. Despite all this, it is still possible to observe the remains of the ancient fortification that characterizes the urban planning of Tavira's historic centre. This tour aims to explore the walls and reveal some of their secrets.

The "Tours through the History of Tavira" aim to introduce visitors to the past of the city and municipality, its landscape, monuments, and historical figures, as well as raise awareness of the need to protect and value this heritage.

Participation is free and limited to 30 people, upon registration, until October 23rd, using the form: https://forms.gle/TmVaav1kGaNk7k6z9
