Mercan Properties Opens its 15th Hotel and it’s the 1st in the Lisbon Area!

The new hotel, Moxy Alfragide Lisboa, was officially inaugurated on September 29th, following a €63 million investment. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Jordi Vilanova, President of Mercan Properties, and welcomed representatives from Amadora City Hall and Marriott International, the hotel’s brand partner. In his remarks, Mr. Jordi highlighted: “Today we celebrate the opening of our first hotel in the Lisbon area, a testament to our commitment to promoting national tourism and, in particular, this vibrant region of the Portuguese capital, which is becoming increasingly modern and dynamic.”

When asked about partnering with Marriott International, Mr. Jordi Vilanova emphasized: “Having a global brand of such scale, prestige, and recognition associated with Moxy Alfragide Lisboa reinforces the credibility of our investment and adds significant value to the destination itself. Beyond the brand’s reputation, the strength of its loyalty program ensures consistent international demand, channeling visibility and new markets directly into Lisbon.”

Just as the name suggests, Moxy Alfragide Lisboa is located in Alfragide, Amadora, right at the gates of Lisbon and within a 10-minute drive from the Tejo River and the airport.
