The programme begins on Saturday, 13 September, at Mercearia Portuguesa (Rua José Fernandes Guerreiro, 18), featuring violinist Mariline Martins. On 12 October, the legendary Bafo de Baco bar (Rua Afonso de Albuquerque, 26/28) will host Ana Newton Due (voice and guitar) from 4pm.
On 8 November at 11am, Ricardo Silva (guitar) and Romeu Madeira (violin) perform at ESPAL - Estabelecimentos Serra Productos Alimentares (Rua Miguel Bombarda, 2). The series concludes on 13 December at Café Calcinha, where pianist Sérgio Leite, director of Loulé’s Conservatory of Music, will take the stage at 4pm.
Each performance lasts 40 minutes and is free to attend.
The initiative highlights Loulé’s cultural and commercial heritage, from the historic Cefé Calcinha and Mercearia Portuguesa to the Iconic Bafo de Baco and ESPAL, founded in the 1930s. By bringing music into these historic spaces, the programme celebrates both the city’s human and patrimonial richness, keeping its traditions alive for residents and visitors alike.
