"Currently, there is a shortage of slots for private jets at Lisbon Airport (LIS) and smaller airports in the surrounding area. Lisbon Airport is facing difficulties managing the volume of traffic, resulting in a lack of available slots for take-offs and landings in all operations," the company said in a statement reported by ECO.
The Web Summit, which holds its annual event in Lisbon between November 10th and 13th, states that guests with larger aircraft have discovered that the only viable landing spots during the Web Summit “are now more than two hours' drive from Lisbon, including at airports in Spain.”
The organisation recommends traveling on commercial flights, highlighting that the event location is only a 15-minute drive from Lisbon airport.
