The strike, called by SIMA (Union of Metallurgical and Related Industries) and the Transport Union (STA), will last several periods until midnight on January 2nd, for a total of 76 days.
The latest strike is taking place from September 12th to 15th (between today and Sunday), followed by more strikes this month from September 19th to 22nd, and from September 26th to 28th.
In October, strikes are scheduled from November 3rd to 6th, 10th to 13th, 17th to 20th, 24th to 27th, and 31st to 3rd. More strikes will follow from November 7th to 10th, November 14th to 17th, November 21st to 24th, December 28th to 1st, December 5th to 8th, and December 12th to 15th.
The last strike is scheduled from December 19th to January 2nd, 2026.

I flew back from Singapore via Abu Dhabi … landed in Lisbon with Delay…. Singapore and Abu Dhabi Airports are amazing … Lisbon is such a disappointment … Long queue at Immigration and no consideration for transit passengers …. Several travelers missed their connecting flights ….

These stupid strikes are designed to mostly affect ordinary people! Shame on the organizers and the government that allows that to seriously disrupt our lives! Portugal was bad when I left in 1979 and now repeating itself! I'm giving up! The worse is that the other European countries are no better!
