There are 5 million and 138 thousand residents of mainland Portugal aged 15 and over who reported listening to the radio during the first half of the year, a number that represents 59.8% of the population.

This conclusion comes from the Bareme Rádio study by Marktest, which interviewed 6,006 people and also shows that, on average, each listener spent 3 hours and 5 minutes a day listening to the radio throughout the first half of the year. However, it should be noted that this figure varies according to the gender, region, age, and social class of the listeners.

The highest radio consumption was recorded among individuals aged 35 to 54, as well as those belonging to the middle social class, and the maximum duration was recorded among individuals aged 35 to 44, with 3 hours and 33 minutes per day, 28 minutes more than the average, according to a report by ECO.

Regarding regions, residents of the Central Coast (3:23:34) devoted the most time to radio, with 19 minutes more than the average. Next came the Greater Porto region (3:06), the North Coast (3:05), the South (3:05), Greater Lisbon (2:58), and the North Interior (2:55).
