According to industry sources cited by the Automóvel Club de Portugal, the price of diesel will remain the same and the price of gasoline will fall by 0.5 cents.
According to the General Directorate of Energy and Geology (DGEG), the average price of a litre of diesel in Portugal on Friday (May 30) was 1.519 euros, while petrol was 1.682 euros.
It is also possible to see that, compared to October 1, 2024, current prices reflect a drop of 2.1 cents in diesel and an increase of 2.3 cents in gasoline.
If the forecasts for next week are confirmed, the average price of regular diesel should be €1.519/l, while that of regular 95% petrol could fall to €1.677/l.
These forecasts are based on the assumption that the extraordinary tax reduction measures implemented by the government to mitigate the price increase will continue.
