According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA), the seven districts are under a yellow warning due to the forecast of northwest waves of 4 to 5 meters.

Due to the rough seas, the maritime bars of Caminha, Vila Praia de Âncora, Esposende, Vila do Conde, Douro, Aveiro and Póvoa do Varzim are closed to all navigation, according to information available on the National Maritime Authority's website.

The Figueira da Foz and Viana do Castelo sandbars are subject to restrictions.

The IPMA (Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere) forecasts generally light rain today on the mainland, snowfall above 1400/1600 meters altitude, stronger winds until early morning, and rising temperatures, especially minimum temperatures.

Minimum temperatures will range between 4 degrees Celsius (in Guarda) and 12 degrees (in Lisbon and Aveiro), and maximum temperatures between 7 degrees (in Guarda) and 19 degrees (in Faro).
