You still have a few days to visit the space. However, in the post they shared on social media, they say it's a hiatus and promise to return to the city centre.

"It is with a mixture of joy and nostalgia that we share with you that Scoop 'n Dough will be closing its Restauradores location starting September 28th [Sunday]. We will continue with open arms and be eager to serve you in the best possible way in Cascais and at 8 Marvila," Scoop 'n Dough revealed in a post shared on social media.

"From day one, our mission was clear: to promote more sustainable choices through unique experiences. We started with ice cream and added doughnuts along the way. It was precisely at Restauradores that everything came to life—the birthplace of Scoop 'n Dough."

In the text, they thanked those who have followed the project over the past few years. "We extend a huge thank you to everyone, both staff and customers, who visit us daily at Restauradores, bringing our project to life. We ask for your understanding regarding this need for renewal after six years with the project as it is."

The people behind Scoop 'n Dough say this could be a break from downtown Lisbon and hope to have new developments in the near future. "This is just a break: we hope to return to downtown Lisbon soon, refreshed, ready to surprise and continue sharing our mission with you."

They point out that one of the reasons for this closure is the need to renew the project. "We feel that Scoop 'n Dough needs a new stage and a renewed life to continue serving with excellence and responding to all ongoing projects."

"For six years, this space was more than a store: it was a meeting place, a second home for many. But we believe the time has come to take the next step and an even bigger leap," they reveal in the publication.

Where can you continue tasting the donuts?

In 2020, just 10 months after opening, they achieved first place in the HappyCow ranking of the best vegan doughnuts in the world. In 2021, they also took 4th place in the world's 'Best Vegan Spots' category of the 'TripAdvisor Best of the Best' awards. Their ice cream has also won awards, such as first place in 'The World's 10 Best Vegan Ice Cream Shops', by Happy Cow, in the summer of 2022.

From original to hazelnut chocolate, apple crumble, carrot with dulce de leche, or lemon with poppy seeds, there are several doughnut flavors available, and you can continue to try them in Marvila, at 8 Praça David Leandro da Silva, and in Cascais, on Rua Frederico Arouca.
