Azorean-born entrepreneur Susana Dias, who grew up in Faial and lived nearly a decade in Lisbon before moving to the UK, has launched her own premium petite fashion brand: P’tit Affair.

Created for women 5’3” (160 cm) and under, the brand offers timeless, functional pieces in classic British style, designed in the UK and ethically produced in Portugal.

“Finding clothes that fit and flatter petite women, without a trip to the seamstress, is virtually impossible, no matter where you live. P’tit Affair was born from that frustration, and from the desire to create classic, practical fashion made to last. While many so-called “petite” ranges are simply scaled-down versions of standard collections, or focus on festival looks, P’tit Affair is designed from the ground up for petite proportions — ensuring elegance, comfort, and functionality.

All pieces are produced in Portugal using premium materials and responsible manufacturing practices.

Portuguese heritage

Alongside the clothing line, the brand has launched the Saudade Tote Bag: a foldable, practical tote inspired by the Portuguese concept of saudade.

The bag is designed for everyone, petite or not, as a functional accessory with cultural meaning.

With plans to expand to the European market by the end of 2025, Susana hopes to bring P’tit Affair to women across the continent who share the same struggle to find clothes that fit their stature.
