The airline will hold a pilot roadshow in Porto on October 16th and 17th to recruit experienced commercial pilots.
The next roadshow will be held at the Crowne Plaza Porto Hotel (Av. Boavista 1466) on October 16th with one session at 10:00 AM and another at 1:00 PM, and on October 17th at 10:00 AM. According to an Emirates statement, "experienced pilots who wish to join Emirates as Co-pilots (Type Rated/Non-Type Rated), directly as Captains, or through the Accelerated Promotion Program are welcome."
It's worth noting that the airline recently announced its commitment to hire more than 1,500 pilots over the next two years, with a target of 550 pilots this year.
David Quito, Emirates' managing director in Portugal, points out that: "Emirates pilots fly one of the youngest and most modern fleets in the world, comprised exclusively of wide-body (twin-aisle) aircraft, to more than 153 destinations worldwide. They will have the opportunity to undergo robust in-house training at Emirates' state-of-the-art facilities and will also be based in the vibrant city of Dubai."
According to Emirates, no prior registration is required, and pilots only need to attend one of the sessions. During the session, prospective Emirates pilots will be able to learn more about the airline's recruitment process, available opportunities, training programs, expected career paths, and benefits, as well as speak with pilots currently flying with Emirates.
