More than a dozen officers from the Lagos Maritime Police in the Algarve and nature watchers inspected dolphin watching maritime tourism companies in the Algarve in August.

In a statement, the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF) stated that "no reports were issued," with the objective being to verify compliance with the rules governing dolphin watching and safety standards.
The ICNF and the Maritime Authority urge compliance with the law during dolphin watching, with an emphasis on the safety of participants and the protection and well-being of the animals.

Do the Police to see if the driver kill switches are in used. A resent boat trip from Lagos to the caves of the many small boats we passed only 2 had the kill switches attached to the driver.
