The illustrations are based on actual bird photo images by local area photographer Paul Gerace, with a reading comprehension Fun Quiz at the end.

This book was inspired by his love of birds, photography, and concern for the environment. He hopes that by sharing these illustrations and information with the children, they will have an increased interest in caring for the environment. And this will allow these birds to thrive, multiply, and be enjoyed by new generations to come.

The children's book is Bilingual, written in English and Portuguese, for ages 4 years old and older.

Paul Gerace, a photographer and resident in Lagos for the past 5 years, invites locals and visitors to contact him for a signed copy of the book.
