Created in 2025, it is a place where they plant flowers, create beautiful bouquets and sell and deliver them across the Algarve!

I met the owner at the Foia Viewpoint, just under the highest point of Foia, the highest mountain of the Algarve, and she drove me to her resort, located in a remote area. Just the location of this place feels like something out of a fairy tale. Fresh air, amazing views, untouched nature everywhere you look. Flowers make every day special, and this resort is indeed a special place. The owner, Anna, believes that “fresh flowers have the power to lift moods and brighten spaces”.

Planting trees

Anna and her husband bought this plot in 2019 and, in five years they planted more than 500 trees, hundreds of shrubs and many different types of flowers. Anna, originally from Germany, always had a love for flowers and gardening. As a child, she used to come for holidays to Portugal with her parents, and she continued visiting as an adult. She learned to surf, started learning Portuguese and eventually decided to look for a place in nature, where they could create a natural paradise and maybe one day live there too. Creating a business wasn’t the primary idea, but having this beautiful place full of amazing flowers, would be a shame to not share it with others.

In the beginning it was just Anna and her husband. Later they decided to hire two people to help with the work on the land. “Without our lovely colleagues this place wouldn’t be the same” Anna adds.

The garden

Anna’s garden features a large variety of flowers, such as Cosmos, Sweat Peas, Zinnias, Roses, Larkspurs and many more, all in different colours. No chemicals or pesticides are used to grow the plants “We are dedicated to growing slow, sustainable, and eco-friendly flowers, she says.”

She also organises workshops, minimum is four applicants, workshops hold place on Saturdays, and you will learn how to create a unique bouquet, which of course you take home with you afterwards.

Workshops

When you arrive for a workshop, Anna gives you a bucket and scissors and gives you a tour around the place. Don’t worry if you are not a flower expert, she is happy to share her knowledge and explain everything. You can choose the flowers you would like to have for your bouquet, and you will learn a spiral technique, which is a method for creating bouquets, by layering stems into spiralling pattern to achieve natural and balanced structure.

There is a rule that applies when you make a flower bouquet: “Focal flowers, or eye catchers, might constitute 30% flower fillers 60% and grasses and greenery 10% “, Anna explains. She took a florist course and keeps learning about flowers online.

My bouquet

Anna helped me to create my bouquet in white and rose tones, which I absolutely love. As I write this article, I’m looking at the bouquet on my table and I can tell you, flowers have the power to lift your mood.

I loved my experience at the flower farm; Anna is a very charming and friendly lady. Upon my arrival she had homemade lemonade and cookies ready for me and made me feel very welcome. I admire her for her hard work and willingness to always learn new things.

She plants flower species which are not that common in Portugal, therefore she needs to find out everything herself. How much water, sunshine each flower needs, and how much wind can handle, as it can get very windy up in the mountains. And if you are interested in flower and gardening, she can share a lot of knowledge with you.

There is a possibility on their website to create an account and get a weekly subscription, which means fresh flowers will be delivered to your door every week. You can also make a single bouquet purchase with a delivery.
