In 2024, the EU reported that 25.2% of energy consumption came from renewable sources, up 0.7% from 2023. However, the recorded value remains below the target set for 2030.
According to Eurostat, Sweden is the country that uses the most renewable energy (62.8%), followed by Finland and Denmark.
Portugal is still included in the top 10, occupying the seventh position, far from the European average but even further from the target of 42.5%.

"Portugal is the 7th-largest country in the European Union (EU) in terms of renewable energy consumption..." What does this even mean? Try, "Portugal ranks 7th in the EU when it comes to renewable energy consumption..."
