eDreams also found that Portuguese travellers tend to have longer trips during Christmas – with a preference for an average duration of seven to 13 days (48%) – while for New Year's Eve, they opt for shorter stays of three to four days (52%).

Those who chose our country as their destination this year come mainly from France (35%), Switzerland (11%), Germany (11%), and Spain (11%) during Christmas, and Italy (8%) during New Year's Eve. In terms of Portuguese destinations, Lisbon, Porto, Funchal, Faro and Ponta Delgada stand out.
