According to ECO, the purchase was contracted through the NATO Support Procurement Agency (NSPA), with an approved budget exceeding €3.6 million, financed by the Military Programming Law.

“Considering that, in order for the Army to carry out its missions and participate in international commitments of the State, it is essential to strengthen the ‘CD-DEPLOY’ tactical cyber defence capability, and for this purpose, it is fundamental to ensure the 2 (two) shelters equipped with communications, for subsequent placement in vehicles; It is justified to proceed with the reprogramming of the authorized expenditure and authorize the incurring of additional expenses,” reads the order dated November 20 and published on November 27, quoted by ECO.

Therefore, the Ministry of Defence approved “an additional expenditure of €3,640,937.66, plus Value Added Tax (VAT) at the legal rate in force, to reinforce Sales Agreement (SA) No. PRT – 76, relating to the acquisition of two communications shelters.”
